AdHush (“AdHush”, “we”) is operated by Kruppe Software. This policy describes the data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Data we collect
- Account information: A Google sign-in is required to use AdHush. We receive your email address and a unique account identifier from Google. We do not receive your password.
- Usage data: The number of seconds AdHush is actively analyzing video on your behalf, used for service analytics and billing.
- Video frames during analysis:While AdHush is running, AdHush sends screencaps from your active streaming tab (or, for the AdHush Box, from your television’s video feed) to our servers to detect ads and improve our ad detection models. Screencaps go to our backend and on to a third-party AI vision provider for classification, and we retain them, with their classification results, to train and evaluate our models.
- AdHush Box status: If you pair an AdHush Box, it reports its operating status to your account: online state, whether it is muting, the channel it detected, and running counters. This is shown only on your own account and controller pages.
- Payment data: If you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a customer ID and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers.
How we use it
- To run the ad-detection service.
- To improve our ad detection models.
- To bill subscribers.
- To respond to support requests.
Data sharing
Screencaps are transmitted to our AI inference partner for classification. Payment data is processed by Stripe. We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.
Retention
Account and usage data persist while your account is active. Screencaps retained for model training persist until you ask us to delete them; email us to request deletion.
Your choices
You can disable AdHush at any time from the popup or your controller page, sign out to clear your local session, or email us to delete your account and its data.
